ECO is a new project, created when two established musicians decided to join forces and form a conceptual project that will combine their sound & vision, following the footsteps of Lennon & McCartney, Simon & Garfunkel, Crowded House and REM.
 
Baruch Friedland (an awarded Singer-Songwriter, Producer and Publisher). As singer - songwriter released 3 albums: The outrageous and very successful Stumbling on Heaven (1993, No. 1 for 3 weeks), the versatile Changing Colors(1995, No. 3) and the highly acclaimed Searching for Baruch Friedland(1998).
 
For the last 15 years, Baruch wrote, composed & produced over 200 songs (including many top10 hits) for himself as well as for Israeli artists such as Gali Atari ('79 Eurovision winner), Doron Mazar, Dafna Dekel, Ilanit, Adam, Duo Datz, Riding Gimel, Golda – just to mention a few. Baruchalsowrote 2 plays, 1 musical (Sexodos), sketches for TV and radio shows, commercials, jingles, scores for TV & radio shows and special ordered songs that where performed all over the world (U.S.A, Europe & Asia).
 
Friedland represented Israel in music festivals and events in Macedonia (twice), Lithuania (audience favorite), Bulgaria (guest star), Kazakhstan (best production), Romania, Spain & France (on behalf of UNESCO), Irelandand will also participate in the Israeli Song Festival 2001 - among others.
His songs where released on CD's (as Barry Friedland) in Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Kazakhstan and Macedonia. In 1996 his song A Patti,was recorded by The Gibson Brothers (Cuba, Que Sera Mi Vida, Etc.) and released on their latest CD, Move On Up. In October 2000 Baruch participated in the Music Bridges project at the Expo 2000 in Germany where he cooperated with 40 top songwriters from 25 countries and wrote songs together with Alan Rich (Run To You by Withney Houston) and Eleanor McEvoy (Only A Woman's Heart) - among others.
 
Drue Tyson Hoile (Singer-Songwriter, Guitarist & Producer) came from Sydney, Australia to Tel Aviv in 1997. In '85, Hoile performed with his compositions at the Sydney Opera House in the show Tall Stories. A year later he composed the music to T.S. Eliot's adaptation of The Waste Land and to R. Clark'sCandid Children. Among others, he also wrote & performed in two original musicals Waiting for the Day('91) and Asylum ('93). Hoile also composed the musical Sinbad, now presented at his homeland.
 
When Drue discovered his attraction to Rock n' Roll he formed April Fish - his band. With them he recorded and performed numerous times in Sydney and the East Coast and on the radio. Following this experience, Hoile decided to go on a solo carrier, and released two albums: The Chocolate Shop ('93) and Blind Skin ('94) both received very good reviews in Australia as well as in Europe. Following this success Drue went on a tour, shot some video-clips and appeared on various popular TV shows.
 
As a songwriter Hoile continued to write for Australian artists such as Libby Ray Clark, Lisa Callingham - the rising country star of the eastern coast, Audry and many others.
 
Drue and Baruch's project already received a lot of interest from music professionals from all over the world, won the Grand Prix on the AACI Song Competition, an Honorable Mention from the Canadian MusicMedia RadioWaves competition and represnted Israel at the Vina Del Mar Festival 2001 in Chile, and at the Universetalent Song Contest 2001 in Prauge, The Czech Republic.
