Amitai

Amitai is an Israeli Rock singer-songwriter, music producer and professional performer.

As an artist who writes and composes his music, Amitai deals with society and the world which he lives within, about woman in his life, his relationship with his father and with himself – as he sings:
·                     “People always talk / fools are heading on with the flag” (“Strawberry Fields” – a tribute to the Beatles).
·                     “Saints and sinners / are touching life” (“Bless me, my father”).
·                     “You are a stranger to your war, slowly you are bring burnt” (“Take me tonight”).

Amitai has started his musical career as a teenager, as he first performed on stage when he was 15.

Amitai had graduated Beit-Zvi  – high school for performing arts, where he had studied directing, acting, classic and modern plays, singing, dancing, etc. He had acted in classic plays such as – Midnight Summer Dream (Shakespeare), The Merchant of Venice (Shakespeare), A Streetcar Named Desire (Williams), Etc.

Amitai had started performing professionally in Israel, became known and got fans.

Amitai has gone a long way, since his early days as an orthodox student in a “Yeshiva”, to being a theatre student, then an actor, a director and a rocker.

His excellent performance on stage, the special clothes – purchased in special shops in England, his actual personal style, tell nothing about what he had left behind him. However, some hints can be found between the lines, in his debut album.
This album was made in very high standards and is called - Thoughts in A Bright Day.

Amitai was fortunate to win a scholarship and flew to Manchester, England. There he’d spent two years, studying in the High School for Sound and Recording Music.

Spending two years in England enabled Amitai to get involved in music recording and production, as he’d produced an English Rock band – Beam, and recorded some songs with professional singers.

Returning from England, Amitai has got a new band – The Lonely Heart, in order to re-start performing, once the album is released.

Amitai’s debut album will be released at the end of March 2000.
